A connected agent can read every Robinhood account you hold, including balances and order history, and can place real orders in its MCP account. Trade approvals are off by default for MCP accounts, so turn them on if you want to confirm each order. Fund the agent's account only with money you can afford to lose. Agent crypto trading isn't available in some states, including New York.

- Jan 13, 2025: the SEC said Robinhood Securities and Robinhood Financial agreed to pay $45 million in combined civil penalties, covering failures including late suspicious-activity reports, identity-theft safeguards, and a November 2021 incident in which a third party accessed and downloaded information about millions of people.
